its really hasnt got too much to do with the engine its the transmission and interior that will need to be changed for the manual conversion.

yeah well my second thought was instead of just converting to manual... get a front cut off of another car... that has a manual transmission as well.. and get that in there..

like a galant turbo or something similar..

I thought about a 3.5 transplant and retain my manual. Came across one in a yard, (City Parts Plus at Zillmere), with 20k on the clock for $2k. I think the only interior change would be the housing around the gear stick and maybe the surround around the instrument cluster, if you wanted to get picky.

as far as i know the 3L box should/will not operate with the 3.5 engine....there was a review on autospeed that the box was "too weak" for a 3.5 engine....this may only be a long term affect but thats what autospeed claim......

if you want to convert to manual it would be best to find a front cut of another 3L manual as you will need all clutch cylinders/lines and more to do the conversion....i reckon you could do it for around $3000 and you could do some of the conversion yourself....

The Conversion shouldnt be that difficult, there is nothing really hard about it its just a matter of unbolting everything and remembering where it goes.

Only thing about your car would be you would probably have to change the wiring loom +ecu over, not a problem if you have a front cut :D
