I can tell all the 2nd and 3rd Gen Magnas by outside appearance. Just curious the difference cosmetically between the 1st gen models? eg grille, lights etc...

The most noticable would be the grille I reckon. To be honest I havent really paid much attention to much else, oh yeah the little badge on the front sides (near the front wheel) is different on some of the models aswell.
More observant ppl will probably tell you there are heaps more differences that those two tho
From the rear:TM's have the number plate between the tailights. TN/TP have it lower down. TP's have a high mount stop light, TN's dont.
From the front:Most TM's have a grill type bit inbetween the headlights. TN's (some models) have a solid strip of plastic that only goes along the top half. And TP's have two holes in the front bit. See pics(1&2 TM, 3 Tn and 4 TP). Its alot easier than telling the difference between a TE and a TF.
edit:the tn eltite (i think) grill looks very similar to the tm

TN/TM have the holey headrests, TPs have smaller solid headrests.
Centre console in dash different too, TPs have a bigger box for radio.
For wagon TN has the tailgate lock switch next to handbrake, TP is on driver's door.

very easy 2 tell apart from the rear. tm's have the number plate between the rear lights. tn's have the number plate on the bumper, and the tps have the number plate on the bumper + the rear light have a black strip thing that runs down the middle of them

Here's some trivia... my 8/88 TN came with wiper arms that couldn't flip up
but Mitsu recalled them and changed them for 'normal' ones.
