If I turn my highbeam on then turn off the engine I can't turn the lights off the alarm turns on/off but lights won't until I turn the engine back on and then either turn the highbeam off or the lights off completely:confused:

If you have a TL like your profile - get it looked at under warranty.

Are you sure you haven't activated the Courtesy Headlights *FEATURE*?? :cool:

Think you have to have the key on On, flash the hi-beams then turn off the key.
Remove key, close the door/s - the headlights will stay on until you remote lock the car
or reach the (adjustable!) timeout.

Read the manual to be sure.

yeah freaked me out the 1st time i seen it too!!

actually, it wasnt until Jason installed my parabolics for me and we were testing them that i seen it!

they should turn themselves after about 30 secs? (but i'm sure you havent left it that long yet?)

what happen when it didn't turn off. Did do you do anything while you had the high beams on then tun the car off.

just turned the car off while the highbeam was on the alarm sounded so I turned the light switch off, alarm turned off but lights didn't? freaked me out for a minute, turned car back on then turned lights off, only happens with high beam on, thought it some kind of safety feature.:doubt:

Yeh i've done this accidentally the other day, freaked me out as well. Then i turned the car to on and turned off the lights and she was all good. Tried to do it again, no luck LOL. It does have something to do with the highbeams though as the missus was in the driveway and i flashed the highbeams at her (she was facing the other way :P).

ive had that b4 aswell it got me worried until i put the key back on to reds and turned on then back off my lights

It's supposed to work like that...it's the auto headlight delay. If you put your lights on high beam, turn the car off and get out they stay on for about 30 seconds (can't remember the exact time delay).
