Hey guyz,
My car is rattling like crazy, i think i should replace the mounts asap before something else breaks.

Im a bit of a cheap ***, and wouldnt mind attemping to replace the mounts myself.

Can someone maybe point out to where they exactly are and what they look like...maybe just draw circles on a picture.

Also there was a thread awhile ago about the Polyurethane mounts for sale, i think it was megatron, that was selling them. But only for the 3rd gens??

Where can i obtain these polyurethane mounts, if still avaible?
How much do they cost compared to standard mounts?

Theres 4 mounts in total in my car, correct?

tanks!

Don't know if this helps, from the service manual. I'm assuming 4cyl from your signature?

Grr, won't let me upload gif of those dimensions, trying png...
@#$!, doesn't allow png, looks like it'll have to be smaller jpg, you'll just have to squint...

not all your engine mounts will need replacing... theyre easy to do... it's obviously if one's broken too. Suss them out first... you can get 2nd hand mounts from wreckers for about 60$ the polyurethane ones are 110$ each but i doubt theyll have 2nd gen ones in stock...

Go to repco and buy sikaflex 227. Its a type of polyutherane.

Pull out your engine mounts, fill with the sikaflex and let dry for a day or 2.

Put back in and youve fixed all your engine mounts for a total of $15.
