Hi All,

Im having a problem with my auto. It seems to be shifting very hard, especially when slowing down, when it shifts down, it thumps down:confused: ...Is the auto stuffed or is there a way that i can fix this?
I have a '93 Verada V6. If anyone has got some ideas, let me know.

How would i go about getting a diagnosis on the transmission?
Obviously i would have to take it somewhere to get it looked at, any ideas of pricing?

throttle position sensor = not working/out of spec

Sounds like a service is due.....there are afew causes...one is a cracked band (hope its not that) or just a sensor command not right....or a band adjustment and new oil, filter etc.
Go to Mitsi or Fluid Drive...... get the word!!

I also feel the thud or jolt when slowing down
With the overdrive switch off it doesnt happen but with it ON for normal driving it occurs regularly.
Please let me know when you trace the problem!!!!

Can the tps simply be unscrewed and cleaned then re-plugged in?
