Hi all, hope someone can figure this one out. TP EFI 5 SPEED WAGON. My engine will cut out for 1 or 2 seconds when i'm cruising at highway speed,it will do it maybe 5 times and the only way stop it seems to back off to below 2000rpms but this wont always work. It seems to be random except for the fact that it will happen 10-15 mins into a drive almost without fail. Imagine turning your key off and on a few times as you are driving along, thats what its like. I still have power to all accessories while this is happening..... fuel system ???? any help would be appreciated as its driving me nuts ( and i'm a tight ****) mechanics are rich enough without us giving them more $$$$.. .. ute.

The first thing I would be doing is going through all my connecters under the bonnet und unpluging and replugging them just to make sure they are clean and tight.

You could also try disconnecting the battery for a while (Half hour is heaps) to reset the computer. (careful if you have a radio that needs a code)

i had nearly the same problem it ended up been a combination of the spark leads(bosch leads wouldn't grab the spark plugs tight and kept comming lose) and AFM.

just to add to that buy some contact cleaner from jaycar or DSE and give all you connections a clean.
