As the title states, when did the TJ Sports\VRX models go from the old style odometer to the more 'with the times' digital display? I am aware that the TJ series 2 models did away with the older odometer but I saw a series 2 (I think) TJ sports wagon which still had the analogue odo but I think it had the digital climate control.

digital odo was started in october 2001 from memory.. its the my02 cars onwards that got this.

Think there was a period where some got it and some didnt, until they all became digital. Kinda like the TJ unofficial series 1.5 which had some Series 2 stuff but not all....kinda a S1&2 lovechild....

series one and MY02 had analog speedometer.. MY02 finished in march 2002 then they started series two which had digital dash..:)

My car was built at the end of the MY02 period with all the series2 gear except the digital odo, I've even got a Series2 badge on the boot.

Progressively fitted from 13th March 2002.
All vehicles will have new cluster from 3rd week of April 2002.

Meaning that all that is in the little window above the central air vents is a few little warning lights similar to the same window in the first 3rd gen TE series?

There is a smaller screen in its place which displays a clock only.
