Hi,
Is there a way to change the interior of the cars colour..
I'm talking air con, steering wheel, dash the lot.
Wanting to turn the interior from the gunmetal-blue clour
to black with highlight parts matching the exterior colour.
eg, guages and console..
thanks.

Do you mean something like this?
Dash can be changed but be prepared to fork out the $$$ for it.
Or you could use the black dash that came out of some V6 models.
Steering wheel can be changed with a BOSS kit and new wheel of choice
gauges i can help you with;) (see my white dials thread)

Yeh dude u can just paint your dash and console etc....
a lot of people on here have done it, not sure about the 2nd gens but cant see why they cant be painted, although u will need a guide on how to remove all the parts but im sure one of these wonderful 2 genners can help u with that!!!

Yes, exactly like that [TUFFTR]
wouldn't really want to do it myself.
You see when i bought the car there were scratches over the dash in the passenger side,
from keys etc, not deep just noticeable.
cashwise how much?
and do you reckon black with the champagne colour would go with a woodgrain dash? :)

Mate thats one of the easiet things to do to the interior of a 2nd gen, have you got a haynes manual? grab one of those and figure out how to take out the dash pieces.
All you need is some arcylic paint(should cost about $10 a can, or $25 for a can of custom mix like ive done) so all up your looking at about $60 for paint, prepsol, and sandpaper.
PM me tonight and i can give you a few more hints and such

Interesting colour choices. Would depend alot on how you did it. I'd take a snapshot of the bits you want to paint and experiment painting them in photoshop first. Scratches will be easy to get out, you'll have sand back what you're painting anyway (well you dont HAVE to, but it'll look better).

What does the end result look like close up?
I would love to get rid of the brown in the magna.

Well i'm not going to respray the exterior of the car and in a way the champagne has sort of grown on me. (and i've always liked the look of the verada woodgrain)

Ok well take a good picture of your interior, i suggest using a decent digi camera, at least 2-3.2 megapixels, sit in the back seat and take the pic in the middle so you can see pretty much the whole dash. Then if you're not too much chop in photoshop i, or someone on here can use those colours and see what looks good and what doesn't.

The moroan looks OK with the rest of the car colour.
Be concerned what the final finish will look like. I saw a car on ebay a few months ago. It was a gold colour. As such the owner had painted everything interior gold including the dash parts. Even from the pictures on ebay it looked very cheap.

Don't mind too much if i don't like the colour
can always repaint.
I'm not looking at doing it myself anyway.
Someone with experience or a sprayshop or something.
we'll see what happens when we photshop shall we?

I have a maroon TR magna as well and i painted the inside myself as well and looks great! Easy to take parts apart is worth to do!! I painted mine silver inside, very nice! gIVES IT a more modern look. Anyways, good luck with it!
