Hey guys, my shocks are rooted, they're bleeding. My springs are okay. I just bought a new set of 4 (front and rear) off heath young, should be arriving soon. What I want to know is, is it hard to replace them yourself and how long to do it?
I guess by answering the latter, you could figure out how long it takes a mechanic to do it and what he charges.
I have to get some other things done while at the mechanic, but I figure if it only takes an hour or so for the shocks i'll just get him to do it while he's doing some other things. I want to know so I dont get ripped off.

Any advice or input would be appreciated :D

change springs, you'll need an air compresser to replace the springs.... so if you can get your hands on that, then it should be pretty easy...

fitting them on the magna is also easy..... the fronts will take around 45mins-1hr and the rears will take a little longer as you have to take out the back seat etc etc...

The back dont really take longer because they are MUCH quicker to compress the springs to get them out.

if you put the rear of the car on carstands you can take the rear suspension out without actually taking the wheel off

The front suspension is qiute easy but yeah those springs are compressed HEAVILY so watch out, keep aside a good 3-4 hours to do both front and rear

Nope struts are a part of the parcel shelf inside the cabin (hidden by the plastic carpeted cover).

If your mechanic has done em before the rears should only take 30 mins. Dunno about the front, but when my mechanic did mine, the first time for the rears took about 1 hr 30 mins, next time 1 hr and last time only took 30 mins.
