hi i have recently obtained the vrx style twin headlights and put them in my car.The plugs on the wiring harness are different to the ones on the back of the headlight so i did a bit of electrical work nothing major easily repaired if needed to but now when i turn the headlights on the outside one lights up ok but the inside one just lights up as if the parkers are on.is there any way to overcome this or can you buy the proper plugs for it and just the change the plugs on the wiring harness over

so they light up as if the high beam were on????
the highbeams(inside) dont need to be rewired tehy hook straight up to the existing loom...
how did you wire the lowbeams (outside)??.....
you sure the the stalk is not on highbeam????

you have wired them up wrong.
i did the same thing. when you turn the light on the low beam work well but the high beam is on but very dull like as you said park light like. so theres one thing you have done wrong is that you have wired them up wrong and you have blowen like about 3 fuses. i did the same and DVS (a very good and helpful forum member) corrected it for me. if you search under his name he has done a how to wire up parras. if your in vic i can give you a hand in wireing them up.
give ford fella a PM,
he has done it many of times and tried lots of different combinations (onmycar) and found the best one,
so that low beams are on high beams are completly off, and when high beams are on low beams stay on

okay easy way to wire these suckers up is to get a test light and turn your headlights on find the one that has power when low and high beams are on, connect to one side of the bulb, then run a wire from the other side of the bulb to a good earth point, easy as that, and high beams don't need to be touched, done this on a dozen cars, and worked on everyone of it,
would tell ya the colours but can't remember at the moment lol
hope this helps
