My KR 3.0L blows a fair bit of smoke when cold and reversing up sloping driveway, most likely worn/hardened valve seals. Is there a way to temporarily fix this, only for 1000km's maybe? Does stop smoke type stuff actually work? Or worst case what am I looking at to get new seals? Parts? Fitted???

Thanks in advance...

Wynn's Stop Leak seems to work after a little while. It reckons that it conditions seals, ie., softens them up. For less than $10, it's definitely worth a shot.

Needs to cirulate and work on the seals, take it for a bit of a drive and let it sit for a while I guess. Won't guarantee that it will work, but I've had decent experience with it.

$10 who cares.......if it stops even some smoke then its worth it.

On your next oil change you can substitute 1L of oil for 1L of Lucas Engine Oil Stabilizer. It is pure petroleum and blends perfectly with mineral or synthetic engine oils. It will ensure that no extra wear will occur if your parts are starting to get a litle worn - top stuff :)

Temp fix? lol, thinking of selling? HAHAHA jokin. I tried stop smoke in my old pintara, but it made things worse, starting using more oil.
