Yeah should be fine. What sort of towbar u have? Standard or heavy duty square hitch?
I towed a camira(cant believe i towed such a car behind mine) on a car trailer on my KE with a standard tongue tow bar from Melb to torquay and it was fine at all speeds. Just leave yourself a lot of room for braking.
Would always recommend a heavy duty tow bar when towing heavy loads. Just gives you peace of mind knowing you have the extra strength and bolt on points.
Make sure the electric brakes on the car trailer works.

Is it a big square one or just the normal looking flat one?
Either way, it should be fine. Towbars never just frop off. I have ripped a few heavy duty ones off a few Mazda Bravo's before. They never just give way. They will bend the tongue or most likely brake a screw or 2 connected to the chassis and it hangs down a bit but they dont usually just come away.

I have done it before - towed my sisters TR Elite after she smashed it on a trailer with my old KF Verada.
Main issue was the standard Verada springs are very soft, so it sat very low at the back.
Was a very heavy load, as said leave LOTS of room for breaking. But it towed quite well, was sitting on 90km along the freeway, even up hills.
Oh, and i only had a standard towbar, was probably over the recommended weights but didn't have any problems.

She towed it no dramas, thanks fellas. But I did take your advice and leave lots of room for braking, and also easy on the gas when accelerating. :)
