They're the same size as the T10 wedge bulbs in some parkers, but they're only 3.4 watts - I know this because I've been crawling all over the web today trying to get the specs off the original Toshiba bulbs as I'm thinking of trying 5 watters (parking bulbs) in there instead. The originals specced out at 12V 3.4 watt on a Toshiba bulb listing that I found. Oh and BTW there's 4 of them.

do a search around here on 'led' you'll find the single tip ones are too dull in a cluster (even T10s) as the light just goes in a line it doesn't spread out around the instruments. Multi LED globes will bang on the back of the instruments as they're longer- unless they now have some that are exactly the same size as standard wedge parker bulbs - try and see.
found these on ebay, they look like they would fit and be pretty bright. Any one disagree??

Worth a try.. prob is LEDs are still to directional.. In headlights they will be okay as it reflexs off the lense case.. dash will give you real bright bits and no light in others..:)
even thought these ones have majority of the LED's around the outside? so i would be shining striaght towards you, but more around the whole back of the dash

It will be the same as dtaping 5 Leds together.. you will get light but it will still be directional.. Will suit reflective area like parkers but not dash..:)
ok kewl, thanks Doc :D only means i need one set now for parkers

Don't know the physical dimension differences, but quite a few 2nd gens have LEDs in the dash now, and I personally have had no troubles whatsoever with light directionality, I've got flat-head 4LED T10s and gives a very consistent light over all areas of the dash.
At one stage I was running half LED and half incandescent (was testing before I ordered the lot), and apart from the much nicer clean white, there was no discernible difference in intensity variance.
