hey, this will probably sound like a stupid question to some of you but I wonder if anyone could just give me a quick rundown on installing a new filter into a 97 TE?
I'm not sure and wouldn't want remove/damage sometime by putting it in wrong
thanks
Undo the clips. Pull the old one out and throw in the general direction of the bin. Swear while you wiggle the new one in. Do the clips back up.
Let us know if you need it simplified :P

Compared to the old filter, the K&N is a tight fit. Just be gentle when you do the clips up.
Have you bought the filter yet? If not, do you want to buy mine, I'll sell it to you with the cleaning kit. PM me for details.

man, you'd make a good salesperson lol
yeah, undo clips, replace, redo clips. not much harm can be done to ur engine...unless you're not using a filter at all...

wat eva you do dont loose those clips!i lost em in my engine bay they were ****s of a thing to find!should get a cold air intake mate, performance wise kn filters give you 15%beter air flow from wat i got told, but i could be wrong,im just sayin this cos i wasted 130 bucks on a kn filter and it did hardly anything ,then i got a cold air intake few monthes after ,and it was custom built for bout 260 bucks and mate it flys!
but i admit the filters do the job for the time being:)
