I have a VL Commodore that i am wrecking...it has a LPG system in it..is it possible to put that same system into my KR Verada? If so, anyone know who would do it and how much for?
Any help appreciated.
Thanks! :D

Firstly in Victoria, if the tank is more than ten years old it will need to be checked and restamped. You will need to purchase quite a few additional parts, eg new cradle to mount the tank to suit the verada, the filler to suit verada to go inside the fuel tank. Then there will be various cut off switches and electronics depending on how old the system is, to bring it up to current safety standards. I would imagine the mixer etc would be around the right size for the engine.
Best bet is to take the VL in to your LPG fitter of choice and find out if it can be done, and if so whether it is worth it.

Gas tank not out of date till end of next year....any ideas on how much it would cost? More than a completely new system installed or cheaper?

Someone mentioned to move LPG from one identical car to another cost about 1/2
of getting it installed new - its all in the labour costs which don't come cheap in Oz.

To move it from a Commode to different model altogether... might as well start from new.

advertise it for sale in the paper/trading post and sell it to a commodore driver for $700 bucks or something. that might be easier.... whats a gas tank cost these days?

Yeah that sounds like a good idea. The only problem is, i dunno how to take it out of my VL and its still got just about a full tank of gas in it...dont wanna blow myself up!!
