Orighty, heres my dilemma people, I really need this sorted out....its freaking me out!
Ok now i have the KS parabolics, which, for the parker globe use a BA9S globe. As these were hard to come by in any auto parts store i purcashed them off ebay through a reputable dealer.
NOW.
When i have both normal parker bulbs in, they BOTH work.
When i put the LED globe in the left hand side, it WORKS
when i put the LED globe in the right hand side, it DOESNT work.
if i switch LED globes around, still, the right hand side DOES NOT WORK.
so i got out a test light, and made sure theres power, which, obviously there is, becuase
1) my test light lit up
2) the normal parker bulb works.
So i know its not the LED globes as the work in both the right hand and left hand side. Ive even asked for a swap becuase the previous pair i thought was faulty.
SO, IF the right hand side parkers dont work with EITHER LED globe, but work with a normal globe, what the f**k is going on?
Who can shed some "light" on whats going on? i mean both LED bulbs work fine, but as soon as the go into the right hand side, they dont work, i slap a normal bulb in, all fine, the left side however works without a problem!
who can help me!

maybe the wires are switched around. check the + and - on both sides are the same with a multi meter.

tj sports is right lights as normal do not have polarity yet leds do. so switch the wires around for the right parker and they should work

Wont work, these are not a wedge type.
so power comes from the bottom of the LED, and earthed through the side metal case, so no matter what, power can only come from the centre (spin the globe 360 degress and it will still get power) cause its earthed through the outer case.

is there only 1 wire? the only other thing is the contact isnt good to the bottom pin.

Normal Light globes will draw power, eg 55W bulb will draw 55W's of power. no more and no less, ( unless there is a Fault )
LED Globes, will use whatever power they are given. they have to be provided with power. they cannot draw it.
Maybe there is something unique about the Wiring in the headlight system that wont enable this.

Depends if they're in series or parallel. If they're in parallel and they require a slightly different voltage, only the lower voltage one will light. Could be there is higher resistance on the right hand side making a higher voltage drop. The current will take the path of least resistance through the lower resistance circuit.
If they're wired in series, could just be that the right hand side is wired the wrong way. This won't affect a normal globe, but led's only pass current in one direction. Try reversing the wires that connect to the globe socket. Disconnect you're battery first, just to be safe.
Hope this helps.
Edit: Now that I think about it, it makes more sense for them to be in parallel so the same 12 volts goes to both sides.

Thanks marty, ill try, as i said before...both NORMAL globes seem to work with equal brightness, but yeah only the left hand side LED works...
Ill have to investigate if its in series or parralell at a later date...dunno how...but ill try........any other suggestions / free paras:)

Can you post some close up pics of the LED's so we know what we're talking about here? Are they specially designed with several LED's to be used for 12 volts or is it just one? Does it have an inbuilt resistor or just the LED?
Just point us to a website if you can't get pics.

dont think they are in series cause if 1 blows then both go out is that right?
EDIT: yeah post a pic of the bulb in the holder.

Yeah true dat!!
What was I thinking:nuts:
sounds like a voltage thing then right?

I will get pics for you tomorrow i swear, but heres the ebay link

as far as i know its a single White LED, and yes its a 12V one, i even had the mechanic over to have a look at this and it even stumped him!!

Hey have you tried putting in just the right one. Leave the left one out and turn the parkers on. If it lights then, you definitely have a voltage difference.
So yeah, try with just the right in, then with both.

Ok, just tryed that now, and yeah, still nothing...
Im tempted to see if i just cut the wires off and swap them around if it will work?
wish they just worked in the first place:(

I had this problem back when I had my parra's in my TS, except it was for both sides. Swap the wires around and it should work. If not, you got something really ****ed with your wiring

really, so it is most likely the wires the wrong way:S
probably it.....ill go see if i can do it now....
thanks man....
really weird how it works.....i mean how it works for a normal bulb but not an LED......
Cheers:)

It's not that weird. Diodes only conduct in one direction, they have a negative and a positive side. It doesn't matter for normal globes, so it wouldn't matter which way they wired it in the factory, seeing as they planned to use normal globes. You're not connecting positive to earth, just switching the positive and negative wires around. It wont affect your normal globes operation.
there is always a chance that the plug on the right side may be contaminated by something thats enough to interrupt the LED but not the normal globe, check the plug itself to see if there is something in it that could stop a good connection. Slim chance but if there is any chance i think its worth mentioning :D

does the right hand side work if only the right hand side led is in?
ie take out the left hand led and turn parkers on

That explained it very well:)
Made perfect sense:cool:
for the record, i cut the wires, switched it round...and voila.....it worked
Thank you everyone for your help, i cant imagine me doing this 10 years ago with no internet forums or google available or any help whatsoever...Thank you all alot!

I have thought that you just needed to bend out the wire to ensure contact to the holder thats all. had problem with my cluster lights and they worked after i bend them and give them a good contact.
