im a bit of a data freak, i cant get enuff stats, personally i havent got any, but i would be keen on something neat n tidy that gives me a bit more info on my car in real time.

for example, nice oil n water temps, batt voltage, supplimental digital rpm/speedo, and for gods sake, a read out on my jt dash that tells me exactly what the cruise is actually set at in kph, instead of using the force :-)

it would have been handy if mitsu actually included just that digi cruise speed setting speed as a extra menu toggle on the indash readout, right next to the same setup for the speed alarm :-) + / - 5 kph, thanks :-)

i've currently got a GTR gauge holder in one of my dins but that will be gone in a day or so. it helps alot when tuning u'r car manually like today i spent over 2 hours tuning my fuel regulator to optimal pressure so its slightly lean when driving round town (saves money on peterol) and stoich with a bit of boot to it (u can really notice the difference) but if u'r running a digital readout or not even tuning u'r car then there really is no point of extra gauges. so all in all if they're gonna be used go for it but if u'r just doing it for the wank factor then may god have pitty on u'r soul

yeah i know tell me bout it
:bowrofl:

also your a pillar can hold 3 or maybe even 4 so that might free up a bit of room man
dont mind gauges....i mean mine are pointless but then again i have NFI how to install the oil temp ones etc etc so i got some easy ones to hook up :)

I'm the same with data and stats.
The ScanGauge II looks good for extra data and it also doubles a fault code reader: www.scangauge.com

Dont see why someone cant have an air fuel ratio gauge....oil temp gauge etc...not like hes putting in an 11,000rpm tacho with huge shift light or a massive psi gauge..

You serious? I hope you're listening out for detonation. You'll generally want to be richer than 14:1 at WOT, depending on ignition advance and fuel RON of course.

i wouldn't mine an oil pressure and temp. but i dont really want the gauges them self. so i was thinking if i got a digitial read out one and took it apart so you dont have the whole gauge but just the back lit read out. would i be able to sit it above the head unit like where the seat belt thing and engin check light come on in in the ralliart so i guess TJII

so it would sit behind the plastic like the other lights but shine through. i think it would look a lot better and would look totaly factory. only think is i dont know how much room i got behind there. anyone go an idea?

I've got oil presure and air/fuel. When i bought the car the gauges were up the pillar looking a bit too cool for my liking :gtfo: . Now from outside all you can see is one gauge, the oil presure. Inside i have tucked the air/fuel between the oil presure and the stereo door tweater. Looks much better and very tidy

The ScanGauge II should work in cars that have an OBDII diagnostic port. Here's a pic i found of a ScanGauge II install in a Toyota Yaris:

so in other words the car will still be stock interms of engine wise so no need for extra gauges to moniter the egnine
