An LSD is a Limited Slip Differential. When one wheel looses traction, torque will find the path of least resistance. An LSD reduces this. They are ideal for powerful cars and is why the Ralliart has one and why Dave's car has one.

you will be looking around $1700+ for an cusco LSD from RPW but this is subject to availiability and fluctuations in import cost!

would be a great idea for any magna after doing suspension and wheel mods to increase drivability!!

can we have no slip differentials? eg. direct gearing?

You don't want that. you seriously need some slip, otherwise your inside tyre will be trying to go as fast as your outside tyre and start shredding itself.

If you imagine 2 circles one smaller inside the bigger circle, for a wheel to turn through 90% it has to travel much further than a wheel on the inner circle, that is why diffs were invented.

LSD are better than full diffs because when you are trying to put the power down, any slip will be limited and the power more evenly distributed to both wheels.

get your welder out and start weldling!

seriously, i had a *mate* that welded his torana diff, and when he tuned corners, you could hear the inner wheel screech!  it was good for a laugh!

Yes the Cusco LSD are coming across quite nicely we have some coming across now and we ordered some spares for stock so we have one spare LSD in stock in around 1 1/2 weeks.

Cannot recomend itenough on a magna nad the cusco units does not have the same side effects and complaints that people have with the ralliart model unit which is a different design

Will Cusco LSDs be available for the TR/TS or will the 3000GT one (if it fits) be good enough?

We can get in any Cusco LSD it is a matter of matching one up but I beleive we should be able to match on eup for the TR/TS models probably from a 3000gt model.
