I've been told by someone that they lowered about 35mm using Lovells Sports Low and they did not notice any difference. So they then put on Super Lows (about 50mm) and noticed huge difference.

Has anyone else lowered their cars - and did you notice a big difference in body roll, etc?

Cheers,
Kim

I've been told by a lot of places that if you go over 2" lower you run the risk of losing handling performance. I guess it really depends on the car, they said it was a general rule of thumb though.

yeah.

My insurance company said I cant go over 1" (25mm) - but if thats not gonna make any difference(?) I might not bother.

Generally, you shouldn't need to go beyound 1.5 inches which is approx
38mm otherwise you'll alter the suspension geometry too much and affect
its handling.

Mine's lowered 1.5" up front and 2" up back (only because the back sat
too high with 1.5") with variable rate King Spings and Munroe GT Gas
shockers. The body roll was very much reduced compared to stock as was
cornering.

Also, lowing the car too much would make it very uncomfortable to drive
especially on secondary roads in the country because the lower you go,
the stiffer the spings have to be to support the same weight of the car.

Was also told by a spring manufactuer that in their testing of swaybars they have noticed unpredictable steering - and they find that just upgrading springs/lowered/shocks/nothalane (or something) bushes and strut brace - is good enough. Comments?

This is making me consider not putting on swaybars.

Mine was lower than stock, but not because I lowered it...

Since been corrected. Certainly handled differently.
