Ever since I remember, my instrument cluster lights stay at the same brightness, and cannot be adjusted. While it's at a good brightness, it can be a bit annoying. Can anyone tell me if there's a way to fix this?

the adjuster knob on the right side of the instrument binnacle surround... is it shorted?
its just a variostat, could be shorted out so the resistance part don't work.

quite simple really, theres a rheostat wire going to your head unit that allows your headlight switch to control the lighting in your original deck. This wire is obviously useless when you replace the deck with an aftermarket unit.
