Hey all, i dont really know ALOT about cars but, my gears have begun to crunch, especially second gear and when its a very cold morning, somtimes the clutch slips when u thrash it a bit....does this mean i need a new clutch? who can test this for me?

Here's the way you can test it pull the handbrake on ,place it in 5th gear and let the motor idle
now slowly release the clutch and at the same press on the acelerator, like you normally do when you drive of, the motor should stall if it doesn't it means the clutch is slipping.

Sounds like maybe time for a new clutch :doubt: - or at least time to have it checked out.

Another test is to drive the car in first or second (slowly), change straight to 5th, release the clutch and give it some revs. If the revs fly up without the car shuddering or accelerating - it's time for a clutch rebuild

Done two of these (factory & RPW Button Clutch) - now I have an Exedy Heavy Duty Clutch.
