Magnum TL

Has anyone had any trouble fitting a new born baby's capsule into the back of a TL magna? I drive a TL wagon. I think the rear seat space is limited due to the fat front seats with airbags in them. My previous TS magna could fit a baby capsule for our 1st child but with baby 2 onthe way, I am having trouble with the same capsule in the TL. Any suggestions of types of capsules that may fit?

Try positioning it in the middle of the back seat. This may help but it will be a pain putting the baby in the capsule.

Have you pushed the seat forward?
How can side airbags take up so much space to compromise backseat room?

Yeah with the seat back it is a problem. There isn't a lot of room between the rear seat and the back of the front seat, plus in the TL the rear seats are very "deep" if you know what i mean, the 1st baby seat I tried was not good at all.

Have a look at Safe and Sound Compaq Deluxe. It is designed to fit in small cars, goes perfect in my partners Astra, and although i havent tried it yet it should be fine in my magna too. I'll try and fit it over the weekend if i think of it and report back.

I've had to put the capsule on the passenger side, and it's meant for long trips that I have to drive the entire way because of the lack of room in the front passenger seat. (I am 6'6" tho)

If the Compaq reversible car seat doesn't work, you could try the Safe'n'Sound Unity Baby Carrier. Same concept as a capsule, except much more compact.

A capsule will fit in the middle postion, our Platinum retractor did and it's about the same size. We have to use a reverseable compact seat for number 2 kid due late this year.

The TL/KL/TW/KW were meant to have more clearance due to redesigned front seat
backs. If the pre TLs had more room, I doubt the post TLs will have less.
