search buddy, theres heaps of threads:P
but if you want cheap. there is the redback system, which gives quite a nice note, which isnt too loud. then you can go to a custom rear muffler, and keep the rest of the system stock. or a complete new system, which larger mandrel bent pipe, with hi-flow resenators, mufflers etc. you could always go a cannon. whether you get extractors, and hi-flow cat is up to you, its not entirely necessary unless you want a bit more power, it may also make the note of the exhaust a little bit deeper.
for a redback system it will cost around 300, up to a 1000 for fully custom. for extractors and hi-flow cat add another 700-1000.
i would personally go, extractors, hi-flow cat, 2.5-3inch mandrel bent (in stainless), with maybe 1 resenator, and a no, or a very small rear muffler and tip. although that would be fairly loud, and expensive.
and.... WELCOME .....to the nut house:P
its up to you what you go for. what kind of sound are you looking for?

possibly go for a redback then, its cheap and it gives a nice note, its more sporty than loud, and you could always make it louder by taking our a ressie. the only problem is magnas, can sound like a wet fart if its not done properly:P

if you just want a better note, throw a stainless muffler on the back and that will keep you amused.
if u want performance well it gets expensive with replacing every pipe under your car. not entirly worth it unless u want your car to go quicker or planing future performance mods

Dallas, i just had a 2&1/2inch straight thru redback put on, $500 all up total, and im impressed with it, its got a cool drone to it at crusing, and adds a grin of a growl to it on hard accelleration, and as the guys here say, if ya want more than that, remove a resinator or so. for me, im happy with it...

i'll put up a sound clip on it sometime during the week :-)

i changed the muffler on my tj awd to a straight through, with some kinda tip but hidden, sounds awesome... and when u nail it, u'd swear it had a supercharger on it... but far out its loud now.... really really really deep note, kinda like having 2 15's in the boot humming away... think it's too loud though... as in cop defect loud soo.... im thinking about what to do now

go the readback system. i have one on mine, comming off a set of pacemakers. sounds awsome! only cost 1000 all up(parts and labour). the only problem with the redbacks is that it needs to be cut down to fit the car(they had to cut about 6 inces out of mine). i have know idea why this is, but the exaust guy didn't have a problem with it.
