I'm buying a remote for my kr and I've been told there is two different remotes. One type is black with one button, and the other type has three buttons. Is this correct and which one is better, advise greatly appreciated :-)

AFAIK, the KS Verada Xi had the 3 button black remotes. One for locking, one for unlocking
and one for the boot. The magna's may have the one button ones where it is used to lock
and unlock the doors and have no remote boot release.

mmm, I rekon if it's for a KR and is stock, would possibly be the same as the ks xi.... which I was told is over $200 brand new, but mitsu will re code it for free.... IMO better off saving for a decent after market alarm:badgrin:

stock ones do nothing when the bat has been dc'd and ya car gets broken into and stereo gets stolen :@

Seems kinda steep. lol. My TF remote only cost $66 inc gst, programmed. (which is easy, turn the key from accessories to on and back quickly 3 times then press any button on remote). That's how 3rd gens are programmed anyway, could be same for 2nd gens.
