Gday peeps I have no manual and ould appeciate some advice on how to change the headlights.............parkers and high beams work but headlights don't,freaked out on the way to work last night..........how do i replace.......I have a 2001 tj magna.........I checked the fuses and they are sound,doesn't seem much room to get the lights out from the back,do I need to unsrew the headlights themselves and if so how?...............thanks all in advance:confused:

if you dont know how to do it...take it to an auto elec......and watch as he does it. takes them 10mins...it'd take you 5 hours lol. they are a pain ill tell u that now

pull washer bottle out (2 10mm bolts and pump connector) and start on that side. were the big rubber boot is disconnect the electrical plug by squeezing the sides and pull. Then remove the rubber boot and your in. there is the metal globe holder holding the globe in and you simply unhook it by pressing towards the front of the car and pushing it up, it will then hang free as it is hinged and you can pull the globe out. when installing the new globe everthing in reverse order but under no circumstance should the globes glass come into contact with your skin or anything other for that matter or you will contaminate the glass and when it gets hot it will blow. same applys for the passenger side only pull out the battery cover if your car is fitted with one. Get yourself a good set of phillips vision plus or better. They cost more but you get what you pay for. Cheers, Matt

Hey sorry just read your profile and ur in vic, if you can get to my house (i live in ferntree gully) with 2 H4 globes I will fit them for you free. I will go through it with you so if you ever need to do them again you will know. Drop me a PM back if yo uare interested. I work in FTG aswell and could do it during the day if you are free

Be brave do it yourself. lol
Note the above can be very true sometimes when the parkers were never changed in a very long time.
