Hey guys,

i just need some clarification... is the magna 2.6 block the same as the sigma 2.6 block?

i'm under the impression they are the same, but if someone can confirm.

looking at bolting a sigma/scorpion gearbox to a magna block

thanks

I cant see the 2 blocks being the same because of the water pump position

if you turned the magna block longways the water pump block mounting is at the back
I thought the sigmas water pump is at the front of the block ?
the 2 cams are different I have read you can fit a magna head on a sigma

the magna still has provisioning for the water pump to mount at the front of the block, the timing covers are different however. the magna timing cover just plugs up the hole in the block.

the only difference i can think of between the 4g54 and the 4g54b - which was more head related due to leaded/unleaded fuel.

magna head fits on sigma block no problems, as i've helped a mate do a efi conversion to his sigma.

Well from what I've heard, 99% of them have said the block is the same, only the top end is different.

I woulda thought that the blocks are pretty much the same. Dunno if the older ones used the same oil pressure sensor or not though.

And I can't remember where the knock sensor is located but that may also be an issue.
