Does anyone know what it would cost from a Mitsu dealer service to get the following things done to my KR Verada?
- Oil & filter change
- Spark plugs
- Transmission flush & clean
- Full car inspection (report on what things need to be fixed if any)
- ECU Reflash
Any help appreciated!

Oil & filter are included in an overall service - Footscray Mitsubishi use to cost roughly $150 or something. Spark plugs are extra - buy your own NGK ones for about $3.50 each and change them yourself or they will rip you off.
Transmission is $130 last time I had it there
A full car inspection is roughly $100 (usually a quick run-down R.W.C)
E.C.U not sure - most electrical work is sent off to other places
I no longer use Mitsubishi, have found a good private mechanic, who dosent charge as much on the parts and labour

Are the back plugs on the kr platinum?
I have only had the car for a few weeks and the auto is clunking into gears and a very rough upshift and a low idle as well. I have searched the forum and there are a few things it could be so i thought it would be best to flush and clean the auto first, hopefully that may fix the clunk. Can i do that myself or is it difficult to do?

I dont think the back plugs are, thats a very easy fix, most people b***h and whine about getting to the rear plugs but seriously it isnt that hard!
IF you REALLY cant get to them (thats cool you may not be able to for whatever reason) then yes, put platnium ones in the rear.

They should adjust the idle for you and make it idle, and tune it hopefully. A auto service will help smoothhhh the gears.
A clunk could be the CV's or the Suspension.....
Search the forums for DIY info on the Auto Service, if you know some one who can show you once it helps makes it easier

What do they do in an "auto service"?

A basic auto service is just changing the fluid and filter. A decent place will flush the box out, in addition to the filter.
With your idle problem, are you noticing that the idle stays low no matter what? ie. air con setting, in/out of gear? If it's that, you may need either a new idle control motor or a new distributor cap and rotor. If it's the original, then it's more than likely corroded quite badly.
The clunk can be several different things. Does it occur when you pull up at the lights from driving quite fast? If that's the case, then the clunk is the torque converter failing to unlock in time. If it occurs at other times, then it could be your suspension, in particular your strut mounts, your engine mounts, or your CV shafts.
Unfortunately for 2nd Gen owners, the F4A/33 and F4A/23 transmissions are manufactured by Hyundai. Rough shifts, clunks and strange behaviour are just normal operation.

My trans was clunking to so I replaced the oil with Castrol TQM-ST 7.5litres
and I cant even feel it change gear now
the oil is made for the Magna/Verada FWD
it costs about $45 for 4litres but worth it
