Anyone know how to stop the passenger seat (mainly the back/headrest) of the seat shaking when the car is at idle and in drive. It also seems to do it at 110 on the highway.
It doesn't do it when the car is in neutral though (well.. not as bad anyway).
It is a 01 TJ Wagon Auto.
Thanks guys
Chris.

haha mine does the same, although its only when it is set in one exact spot. all i do is move it forwards or backwards a little and lean it back a touch.
i sit my gf in it :) hehe
Nah i dont have that problem, but i had to say it :D

i have learned that mitsu do half assed jobs on warantees.
my right window airvent in the door was poping out so they used some glue to put it in , needless to say they spilt some on the black leather near the vent and now in full sun you can see it. IT MEGA pisses me off.
tho i cant complain they did fix all but one other thing (stupid straoping drum brake)
i would get something to wrap around the headrest maybe even sticky tape will do. headrests are only like 60 bucks for a vrx maybe even cheaper for exec models :)

Interestingly the misu dealer I took it too said it was a know "problem" and there was no fix..
Apparently if you move the seat right back on the TJ's they shake sometimes.. Their solution was to move it a little forward and it wouldn't.
What do you guys thing?

Take out your headrest and wrap some thin felt tape around the very bottom of metal guides (make sure you only use a little bit so you can slide them up and down easily once they're back in the seat).

My passenger seat squeaks sometimes...I just whack it and it stops :D
Good old violence and technology!

The whole seat vibrates.. Not just the headrest..
How does this help? Or am I missing something?
Thanks

happens to me too
doubt u can't fix it though
i think it is due to the inherent vibration of the car...
im with killbilly, give it a good whack

This seat shaking could be a wide spread TJ problem.
I have a TJ sedan and the back rest shakes too.
The rattles and crap brakes annoy me more though....time for new front rotors :D

Hmmm, my ks has it as well. I suspect that the hinge for the seat back is
slightly loose. I'll investigate it when the weather is a bit cooler.
i have the same problem in my TJ :?

I have an intermittent problem in my TR with the front passenger seat vibrating as well. Like others have suggested, I just move it around a bit - bit forward/backwards and adjust angle - then it goes away.
