Hi All :D

Well I'm very confused....my TJ is making a rattle/slight knocking sound from what seems to be the front right corner of my car, im not sure if it has something to do with the suspension or CV Joints, bearings or something else.... :doubt:

All I know is that when im doing around or over 70kmph i hear the noise, under slight acceleration at that speed too, in a straight line...the sound also gets a lil louder through slight dips in the road when the car is settling and adjusting height at that speed...

The TJ has frequent wheel balance/allignments and it still drives smoothly, just has that sound....not sure if any of this makes sense but id really really appreciate it if someone could please help me pinpoint the problem as the sound is very irritating and is becoming louder and more frequent.

Thanks a lot!!!

Hmm the magna manuel models have a frequent issue of destroying differentials.

I woudl seriously suggest not driving teh car and getting it proffesionaly checked to see if you have a damaged differential. Cause if you do, and one of those broken teeth get outside of there carrier basked, instead of just a differential you will be looking to buy a complete 2nd hand gearbox when you damage some of the internal teeth.

Do yourself a favour financially, stop driving, get it towed to a workshop and get it looked at.

meanwhile if it is broken time to consider possibly going to a LSD upgrade.

Hahahaha i did that.. Twice..:P

Mine made a bug clunk in the front and within a few mins i had smashed all the gears in the gearbox.. The second time i was alot more luckier as i stop driving it asap and it was just the diff.. I have now got the Cusco LSD dave is referrinf too.. they are great but the do change your car alot.. Makes it a car you need to put in a little effort to drive now.. And its also not a familt car anymore..:P I lov it and would never go back..:P

Well back to your noise.. i dont thing you have a diff drama.. i thing i know the niose you are talking about.. im gunna ask how old your shocks are..?? of it was your diff you eill know about it..:P I reckon with the rattling noise you are saying it will be shocks or something similar..

Dont scare him dave..:P
