Ahoy,
Just wondering if anyone knows why the release switches come off and kind of 'rock' around I'm talking about the ones near the drivers seat. Mine have come off and I have NO idea how to get at them to re-mount them so they aren't annoying me when I try to put petrol in.
Any thoughts would be great, any help would be even better from someone in SA.

pretty sure they are bolted to the floor.you will need to pull back the carpet and then you will see whats gone wrong.

If its just the boot and it moves really freely then the cable may be broken. Its a pain to fix.If it moves ok then it may just need adjusting(pain). If i clip the boot release cable into all the clips in the boot it wont open,if i unclip it from a certain clip then it will work.Hated fixing it

I live in adelaide, the two levers mount to one piece of metal which I 'think' mounts under one of the seat rails or the mound that the seat rails sit on. As for how to fix I've no idea, but obviously its more common then I thought if anyones keen for a sunday get together to pull our cars apart to try to fix it I'm up for it.
I'll even bring beer.

If you know how to fix the problem it wont matter that you're in melbourne you could just tell us how to fix it, as long as we all have the same problem.
My problem is that the two little 'release' controls near the seat have come away from their mount and just 'float' about the place, they still work but you have to grab one to pull at the other so it has some force acting against it type thing.

Hey man,
You've answered your own question so im not sure what you're expecting to hear?
You're just going to have to undo a few screws and have a squizz under the carpet :)

Ok remove scuff plate in front door and i think also the rear because you need to lift alot of the carpet. There is only one bolt holding it in place. It bolts in from the front and it is between the boot release and the seat..It is hard to get to .you have two cables that fit into the mechanism that fit in like a bike brake cable, thats where mine had broke.you may have to remove the seat to make it easier but i cant remember if i did.
