Hey guys, as you all know I have finally started modding my new baby, here are a list of mods that I have done so far
1. White Led Parkers and Plates Lights
2. Blue Interior Neon
3. New Custom Plates
4. New Head Unit
5. Fuel Cap Lock
Now I a few big mods line up really soon here are is a list of mods form Cheapest to Most Expensive
1. Varada Chrome Grill = $150
2.Tinted windows - $300
3.Lowered suspension $380 - $450
3. Rims $1300 - $1700
4. Exhust $800 +
I’ll be getting Tinted windows done 1st because I want to do that before summer, the big question I have is: which out of Lowered Suspension or Extractors should I do first, lowering would cost between $380 -450, Extractors would cost between $600 - $900 and last of all will be rims on my list and yes I will be doing of these mods for sure but I need some advice on prices on them 1st.
Thanks
ps - 3.5 badge will be removed:silenced:
why on earth did you put a 3.5L badge on a 3L?
i'd go suspension first. i hate the 4wd look of magnas. only problem is, if you do decide to get very large rims or even when you do get rims, you might want to change the ride height/suspension stuff again, which will cause you to spend more money. Aftermarket rims are pointless without suspension mods coz you'll just look stupid, and while you're saving up for suspension mods and extractors, you'll be spending money on expensive tyres for big rims, so get wheels last. Best is to get wheels and suspension done at the same time.
Extractors might be a problem when it comes to getting it lowered. the oh so popular 'pacemakers' on a 3L engine have had some rumoured problems with being a bit low, and can cause scrapage with low suspension....i'm not terribly fussed on tinting. get it done whenever.

Id go for only visual mods erik, you wont use performance mods in all honesty.
And just debadge your car... 3.5 litre on a 3.0 litre... meh...
Debadged looks nice

According to your list of Mods already done...... your exhaust system is completely stock.
If that is the case, I wouldn't bother with extractors until you have upgraded the cat back piping, or at least the rear muffler. You will get better results (power delivery and sound) from replacing the cat back piping and muffler. Extractors bolted to a stock exhaust system would make little to no difference to the sound of the engine, and little to no difference in power delivery because the most restrictive part of the exhaust would still be the stock muffler.
Lower the car first, then rims and whatever visual mods you want to do. I'd seriously think twice before spending money on performance mods for an auto 3.0L, dollars vs. gain will not be good.

so what your saying, if i'm going to do an exhust mod i'm going to have to get a comeplete upgradde which includes
After market exhaust - full zorst including hi - flow cat.
my advice;
1. take that 3.5l badge off
2. lower your car before extractors
3. dont get extractors
4. get nice rims
3.5 badges are stuck to my car, i will be lowering the car for the rims, but if the extracters are going cost to much i would't even brother with it, visual mods i have got in mind are.

you dont Really need a High flow Cat although would help a lot if u did!!
As others have said mate, no point in getting extractors if your going leave your exhaust stock standard, worry about lowering and rims first, once u have gotten your aftermarket springs and rims fitted, then save for a Redback exhaust system, the whole system will cost about $400-$500, if u get a high flow cat converter installed with it you are looking at the $900 mark, but you will notice changes when driving with a full cat back exhaust system!!!
Then once u have done all this save for some racing extractors!!!!
But as i said you will notice the difference once u have upgraded just the exhaust system, stock headers will do untill u get some money up!!

if i where you still my first would be to get rid of the 3.5 badge sorta like an s pack holden putting on an ss badge then at the ligths pulling up next to a real ss,sorta going to get laugth at on take off if u know what i mean.
if i where every going to put a different badge on my car id put a 3.0l badge on a 3.5l just makes more scencs to me.
but maybe going off your theroy u should go to super cheap and get some ferri badges could be a good power gain :bowrofl:

please take the 3.5L badges off, yeah in terms of exhaust i'd go; muffler -> 2.5" piping -> hi flow cat -> extractors
hi flow cat before extractors as price is cheaper, i wanted to go hi flow cat but couldnt afford it at the time...
not much of a cat back zorst if the cat is replaced:P

wouldnt bother with a hi flow cat at all mate, for the cost (around 350) the do **** all, i was gonna get a highflow cat when i got my exhaust done, but the owner of the shop talked me out of it cos the price/gain ratio not all that good, that and they dont flow that much more than the stock magna cat

it really depends on how old and collapsed the current cat is

No actually what I was trying to say is that someone like you might benefit more from just replacing the standard exec muffler with a "straight thru" type muffler, rather than getting extractors or anything else.
Reason being, replacing the muffler will remove the most restrictive part of the exhaust system, so will free up a bit of power, and will give your car a more aggressive sound.
Really no point getting extractors, hi-flow cat and replacing the cat back piping unless you plan to do more extensive performance mods in the future.
