what's the go with this, on paper it seems good, anyone had any experience with this kinda unit, im looking at a name brand with the same features but it's 2k but this seems very reasonable

I know that the LCD screen is not that bad as I've had one for over 12 months and it hasn't caused me any problems. I haven't tried the DVD player though.

keep in mind that that is only a 2 channel output (according to pix) which means only 2 speakers :'(
