Just wanting some feedback from people with manual 3rd gens that have pacemaker extractors.....

I've just had my manual transmission put in and noticed that the starter motor is pretty much touching the extractors. do yours? and does any one see any issue with this?

My RPW extractors are very close to the starter motor but dont touch..

Does your starter still have the Metal cover plate on it..??

Will get warm but i dont reckon it will do any damage..

fyi , my ol xd falcoon had extractors on it, and they were litterally mm's away from the starter, and in teh summer, i would go thru a starter a year in that thing, the heat would just pork it every time :)

the fun came when it was replaced with a later (more readily available) model starter, and the heat shield wouldnt fit to the starter mount anymore.

Personally, heat protect ur starter, if possable.

yeh it does, but its pretty much touching the pipe! a shield wont do sh*t if its touching the pipe...... (there may be like 0.5mm seperating them!)

so no ones had any probs? do yours touch?
