Hi
I am having my timing Belt, S/Plugs, Crankshaft seals, Rocker cover gaskets and the plenam chamber gaskets done on my KR on Saturday, I have purchased all of these products myself and I am happy with the prices I paid (I shopped around a fair bit) Any way the guy that is doing all of this (A friends hubby) wants $300.00 for doing it, is this too much should I see if he will take less??
Thank you
Tanya

"The tradesman is worth his price". He might take less to do it. You'd probably be hard pressed to find a workshop who'd do it cheaper. If they do it for less cash, they don't have the same incentive to do a good job.

thats a good price and if u know him thats better cos he might actullay care about ur car.
now if u want to know if its a good price then ring up 5 local mechs and see what they would charge to put it all in for u i think ud be surprized. for that sort of work its not hard just alot of labour involved i recon a averge price would be anywhere between 500-800 but thats only a guess so ring around for quotes if ur worried its not cheap enough. good luck with it though:D

Yeah $300 is pretty damn good. Throw in a six pack/carton/bottle of something and I wouldn't be surprised if you get it a bit cheaper ;).
