OK i got my exhaust the other day...
went to bolt it on and found the the total system was about 6 inches too long...? wtf is that all about..
vehicle is a TS 3.0l 5spd 94'

its the right shape and everything... just for some reason its too long...
exhaust place reckons it had an aftermarket Cat.. and it was a lengthened cat.. therefore it wasn't right....?
i had it on and it sounded great but couldn't leave it on because it just didn't fit right.. and i couldn't secure it properly...
so i am mighty pi$$ed off at the moment..

any one who has had the same problem??

i had the exact same trouble with mine. i went to an exhaust place to get mine done, and the guy rings me up saying "ummm, we have a problem!"

he ended up taking the red back one back to his supplier and then made me one up, complete from small peices. looks awesome.

it might be in you best interest to take your car and exhausts to an proper fitter and get them to fix the problem.

btw, i had a 18'' resonator fitted to mine about 1 month later because the thing was far too loud for me.

did u have both front muffler and resonator in there? or did u ignore those at first(custom 1)?

im just a bit peeved... cause i asked them b4 i got it would it fit and they reckoned it would... so not happy jan....

Had the same prob earlier in the year.Ordered it in December and didnt get it till jan.The stock exhaust was half cut off when they thought the new one didnt look right and they were right.Had to get the old one put back on and will get them to make me one.

any exhaust shop should be able to cut and reweld it to size anyway...

yeh thats what i would think.. plus its not that far out..
i just need to cut and reweld the flange a bit further back and maybe straighten the mid pipe at the back..

Q.. is the 3.5L magna's exhaust the same shape as the 3.0L?
i have the feeling based on this experience that it is not..

FYI... All 2nd gen TR TS 3.0L and 2.6L < 1995 build..
DO NOT TOUCH THIS EXHAUST!!
IT WILL NOT FIT!!!!
I had to get a custom one made up! :rant:
