ha ha ha yep I got myself a new 2.5 cat back sports exhaust and some pacemakers today and well - what a difference!!! As soon as I get myself organised I will post a sound clip. It sounds awesome and the pick up is just so much better. They threw in a freebie twin chrome tip too so I am well pleased.
Going to take it back to them in a couple of weeks for the suspension too - they undercut the price I got from Pedders and use the same products anyway...
so if you want a good place I reccomend QUICK FIT at padstow - they were great no stuffing me around and knew what they were doing.

Thinking of getting a nice (not ricey) tip on my redback, anybody got a nice one they could reccomend? Something oval-ish that sits nicely in the recessed bit under the rear bumper.

Doesn't rust and is easy to clean. I've had chrome tips and stainless (what I have now) and I'd never go back to chrome now.

Awsome advice GRDPuck.
Theres a few types of 'chrome' tip types though.
Chrome plated (cheap) which most people have. You can tell these from Stainless steel and chrome dipped as they will be rusty inside.
Chrome dipped: Full chrome inside and out, costs alot - Usually for show cars.
Stainless steel: The pick of the bunch, usually about $10 - $15 more but are awsome. They dont rust and are easy to clean (as GRDPuck said). They also will change colour over time, but this is dependent on the driving you do. (they need to get real hot for the colour to change)
Heres a pic of some Stainless steel tips when new. (note the colour is standard silver) (http://members.optusnet.com.au/miltonf/car/ford/xr6t/pics/twintips.jpg)
And here they are after they are run in. Theyve gone bronze/golden (http://members.optusnet.com.au/miltonf/car/ford/xr6t/pics/1024x768-1.jpg)
And another pic (http://members.optusnet.com.au/miltonf/car/ford/xr6t/rims/640x480-newrimsrearsideangle.jpg)

hehe yeah.
Twisty runs will do that :( - The Fords have a fairly 'loose' exhaust system. If id know it would have done that, id have got it welded to a hook point or something in the exhaust well.
