Yeh me too. I think i'm gonna keep the head unit and just replace the speakers and power them with an external amp. That'll do me just fine :cool:

Speakers are stock, Headunit isn't. Stock speakers are surprisingly decent.

I have all stock gear and will probably never change it, For anyone else with stock audio in their TL-TW VR-X can probably back me up

Well, I have the stock 6x9's sitting in the back door of my wagon. I just don't run them unless I have a car party... :D

ive got stock, im thinking wheather to replace it with my pioneer collecting dust or buy a dbl din gps/dvd unit.

Im completely stock apart from cheap kenwood mp3 head unit. Having 1000's of cd's kicking around really ****s me.

mine is stock, apart from the front splits and the amp, but thats not important because the amp has died so I don't run any audio.

Stock audio system is pretty bad, but its a car so I don't really care what it sounds like. In fact i've been quite happy without it for the past 4 months.

Mine's stock, well in a TL VRX it would be :badgrin: Much nicer than the stock unit, better bass sound, but no line in for my ipod :rant:
Had a TJ verada unit + stacker before, that was nice, but this one is better

I've installed a Sony MEX-R1 (singleDIN) into my dash
and the stocko is 2 units doubleDIN so I've just left the original HU in there
to fillup the hole - too lazy to buy a 1DIN dummy box/pocket. :badgrin:

I found that the head unit in the TJ can be a bit contancerous (sp?)
It doesnt like some burnt CD's I know someone who has been through 3 head units. Mitsu did a tacky job on the stereo they got clarion to build it down to a price. I find that the speakers can handle a lot. I am just dissappointed with the head unit a bit, it plays my burnt CD's on and off (they are burnt so that the originals dont get stolen)

I have all the stock audio gear! (its sitting in a box in my bedroom though)

Standard splits with a Pioneer head unit works for me, and gave room for a uhf. Was surprised at the quality of the splits with a bit more power up them though.

I don't fit this criteria but the stock speakers in the Vientas go pretty hard... Lovin' the 6x9's in the parcel shelf and 5" (6"?) in the front doors, with splits!

pioneer mp3 headeck, and stock speakers all round, however, i have a set of xplod 6x9 rears and 8in fronts that are still in teh box waiting for me to get around to it one day :)

We're stock... though we had to get the driver's side 6x9 in the wagon's rear installed under warranty when I discovered it was missing!

We play tunes from 40GB iPod via an AirPlay FM transmitter.

im all stock TJ awd... must say not too bad, way better than the neighbours VY, the std 6x9's go ok with reasonable bass, just switched them with some old kickers i had and reasonable improvment, mainly clarity and trebble.... mind you the kickers have been hammered for atleast 5years now and one of them vibrates at really low volume..... but it's all going in the bin when next week i hope im getting my double din dvd blah blah blah... and mtx speakers.... amp and subs will follow later... if the car dosent get repoed by then lol...
