This is probably going to sound like a really dumb question but here goes anyway.
I take off my wheel to reveal my brakes and discs. Anyway, should the discs be tight or be able to move? like should they be attached tightly or when i put the wheel on does that hold it tight. Its like that on both sides but i just cant remember if any of my other cars had it like that?
It just seems strange to me.

ment to be tight???
sorry might not have been clear. When i have taken the wheel off, the rotor feels as though if the brake calipers werent on it it would fall off. Like, i can rattle the rotor.

The discs will be loose with the wheels off unless they're rusted on. They just slide onto the wheels studs.
When you do up the wheels, it all tightens together.
Edit - dammit too late
