Avast ye! Alrighty, so the vehicle in question is a 94 TR v6 Black metallic (so I'm told by a good friend) which has the grey bumpers and side strips etc. So should I colour match the bumpers to complete black, or leave the 'middle runner' grey and the rest black or paint it fluro orange... the later being sarcasm.. Opinions would be most appreciated since I'm kind of in the dark as to how it might look being all black. Personally I think it would look fair awesome, But I also thought that the wiggles were awesome.. granted I was 3 but hey..

Colour code! Most definatly! I had the shyt looking grey bumpers when i got my TS and i sprayed them white myself, it came up a treat! If you want an idea of what a colour coded 2nd gen looks like you dont have to look far on this forum...It cost me about $120 to get the autopaint and plastic primer if ur going to do it yourself...as well as all the time it takes (and patients)
Best of luck mate,
Adz

Yeah but straight white looks awesome, I'm just worried about too much black, as well as the front grill :/ although its grey still but just thinking cost isn't 'too' much of an issue right now but just don't know if I should do it, because its cheap to do but expensive to fix if it looks sh**ty.

It just a stock standard black TR at this point, with black except for the plastic trim parts.

colour code the black tr, the chrome strips around the car help set it apart and because the currently grey strips stick out it ill still look good in black. Dont know if you know what i mean, someone would show you if you put up a pick of your car (dont forget to white out the number plate)

got 8K lol?
just think when ya color code you minimise the many colors you see aswell...for instance you only see white black and maroon on my car...no orange or grey or anything....take a look at G0TRICE's car aswell, his is a top exmaple of color coded goodness

dude to answer your question i have the same colour car that had the grey bumpers, for a quick fix to that problem i took myself to supercheap and bought some "forever black" that you just rub onto the bumpers. now this wont look as good as spraying it in metallic charcoal like i will be doing later on but for a quick cheap fix being $16 it has made a world of difference and makes the car look 100% better,

check out the pics for yourself.

So if I wanted to paint the bumpers crazy go nuts properly how would I go about it? Obviously I need plastic primer and some sandpaper etc, but all the car places I've visited have all had only 1 style of 'black' for magnas theres about 5 listed but its all the same 'can'
if you will.

So is there a how to type guide on doing this? Or any tips on what to search for :D or just some handy hints. AAAAND, would it be wiser to pull the bumpers and side strips off and do them that way just for 'neatness' sake?

check out under your bonnet, it will have the paint code, from there check at an auto store and look up the paint code, that will then let you know the corresponding paint.

We did that, it was all the same colour :D even for like 5 other varieties of 'black' so it was a bit odd, I have a tiny can, I might try using a little bit of it for comparison. See how I go.

Any tips for doing this nicely?
