hey,
Just a quick question for someone who might have any knowledge on this topic. I want to upgrade my exhaust system but unfortunely I don't have the money to do a full cat back system at the moment and was just thinking of getting a lukey muffler installed as a little bit of kw boost while I save up, my question is: can I get the piping installed after I put the muffler on? or do I have to buy the piping and the muffler in one purchase?
I hope that makes sense to everyone
thanks in advance

You can definatly keep the muffler you choose now and re-use it later when you complete the rest of the system.
As for a performance gain, it wasn't noticable when we swapped the muffler and got a new system on my mates TF.
Do they still make the LR2779 (guess?) or whatever model muffler that was? It sounded horn on the 3L

By horn, I mean horney! It wasn't a droney cannon note, more like a angry NA motor with a nice roar.

He's right, but make sure you get a muffler with a large enough pipe diameter to support your future upgrades. That is, if you have a 3L you've only got about 2.25" pipe diameter so don't buy a 2.25" muffler if you want to go to 2.5" cat-back later on.

If you get the Lukey muffler that bolts straight on, thats got 2.5" piping on it already so you will only have to replace the intermediate pipe after that.

Autobarn warriwood
Thats what I got quoted and I though it was pretty low myself. I'm going to go recheck the prices just to make sure but at the moment that was the quote that their computer and sales-people gave me so I'm going off that.
