I just hooked up the headlight illuminatio wire in my TE but it didn't do anything!

What could I have done wrong?

what did u expect it to do?

read ur headunit manual on how to activate the dim function

BTW alot and i mean ALOT of HU's dont support dimming

my headunit is the pioneer p1y, it has an illumination wire coming off of it. whats it supposed to do?

i thought it was for when u turn ure lights on the h/u dims a little... thats what i found with mine when i connected it up... just splice into ure ash tray light and go from there
