Hi regarding this topic, is this easy to do or not advisable?
Was just thinking of doing some minor mods, and have seen some people done it.
Is there anything should take note?
Thanks in advance.
Yeh, I've done it myself, had a lot of positive feedback, pm me if u like.

i also wouldnt mind doing this. :2cool:so i would like to see some pics and more info.
Pics attached
Bought the Paint from Super Cheap (needs to be a heat proof paint of course)
usual colours they have are green blue yellow red and silver (as shown below)
Its a very time consuming process so allow a good 3-4 hours
Took wheels off, taped and papered everything up so you make sure you dont accidentally get paint where u dont want it, make sure you are in a wind/breeze free environment.
Wipe calipers free of any dirty, you could use a very fine sand paper.
Spray, I used 3-4 coats on each caliper, leaving to dry 15mins between coats. Then leave a good hour to set before you drive. Came out brilliant, didnt even have to take them off the car and didnt get the paint anywhere except on the caliper.
Hope this helps :D
Cheers

I've done it a few weeks ago, do it the easy way (covered and taped the disk and paint the caliper), took about 3 hours. Takes a while for the paint to dry, and for a better result, you need at least 3 coats on each .
Some people might want to take out the calipers to paint them. (might look better )
anyway here's a few pics

I think on open spoke rims a really clean matt black finnish looks sexy, and if the brakes are larger than std a flashy colour could be used to highlight them. Something like a red or a dark green to be different :D

I've also done this myself, first on one of my cars, then a couple of weeks later on my mates XR6 Ute. It's easy but a little time consuming - mostly masking up everything. Personally I think it looks a great deal better if you don't paint the brake pads either, so add about an hour or so to remove all the pads and refit once completed.
