Hey guys, as you all know I’m thinking of tinting my Car very soon, a few problems I have and they are choosing the right tint, I have 2 tints in mind, @ 2 different places they are

Midnight Express @ Tint a Car = $340 ($290 - $50 Fuel Vaucher:badgrin: )

Mirage @ Premier tint = $295

Heat Rejection 64%+
UV Protection 99.9%
Fade Protection 70%
Glare Reduction 90%
VLT 35%
Lifetime GuaranteeI want to get a dark tint but not a tint that will cost 350 or above, I’ve had a look at other tints as well like Black Night@ Premier tint and formula 1 but those are expensive so that leaves with these choices, I will be getting the tint down in the 1st week of September.

I found Premier Tint and Tintacar to be overpriced.......... You're paying a premium for the sign above the door.

You can get just as good a quality 3M etc films with the same lifetime warranties at independant tint places for alot less than the two businesses you've mentioned above.

tint-a-car ftw. if you go somewhere cheap and it starts to peel or buble, they will just tell you to stuff off and no warrenty for you. go somewhere reputible, you dont want to have to tint the car twice.

i think with tint it's more a case of u get what u pay for so personally id wait a week or two then get the more expensive one aleast if something goes wrong u have a lifetime warrwenty and can just take it back. but each to there own:D

have alook @ other cars? and see what it looks like to have 35% tint i think it is too light (my opinon) i got 15% and couldnt be happier, only cost $270 too. but not alot of places will do darker tint.:dancin:

why be a smart *** about it ? .. the majority of ppl here have around 20% tint which is illegal to ... so ease up!

i may be biased but ask for "endurance" tint ... its black chrome and at day time looks silver :P

well for your info my car is insured and because its was made b4 the laws were introduced it could have 5% on it and still pass for rego and insurance, so for all cars made b4 1994 you can get what ever tint u want on it.

i will not be getting the more expensive tint at all, i'm sticking into a budget, so thats means its out of them 2 chices tints.

I had my old car done 6 years ago in 20% and it's still perfect with no sign of going purple (now dad's car). I had my maggie done almost 2 years ago in 20% and again, no problems with it. Would cost about $300.

I got the dominance black from all about window tinting they quoted me 340 but got it for 285 through an online auction its black tint not grey looks real dark but not looks real nice am very happy with it and its legal and insured:D

i got tint-a-cars F1 tint metallized which means it blocks out heat
i did mine at 20% charcol
35% is darkest legal

Because it's winter and there not very busy make sure you get a good deal, I wouldn't settle for anything less than 50 bucks of the rrp on any of the tints.
Shop around and say I have the cash and i'm ready to book it in today, always works for me :cool:

A few days ago I had my KJ Verada tinted with 20% metalized tint all round at The Tint Professor. Only cost me $240. Looks shmick :cool:

ok thanks guys for all your support i have a winner MIDNIGHT EXPRESS @ Tint a Car, I rang them up earlier 2day, that tint it actaually worth $340 but discounting it by $50 and giving a fuel offer and the price is $$290, so i saved $50 on it, this offer ends on August 31st, so i will be getting it done in 2 weeks time, least i'm getting it done before summer wahoo!!:cool:

tint-a-car are the only tint people who will do a transfer of ownership with warranty aswell great films too!!!!!!

Do you guys get hassles with cops having darker then legal tint? i don't want to go down to 15% but 35% is too light.
I got qouted $70 at Mitsubishi in Tweed to tint the car any % i like (mates doing it) so im definately getting it done at that price but should i go 35% or 20%??

20%. I had mine done 35% by Mitsubishi before I bought my car at no charge to me, but I payed to have it stripped off and have 15% put on.

was its just annying seeing a thread on my tint not been made by me thats all i was saying, yes my my tint is legal i woulkd't be displaying my p plate on my car at least til saturday, they can still see it through its on my speaker, bring on Summmer yeah baby. no more mods for my car at least for a month and half i've done what i wanted to do, the next mod will the bigest of all Lowering :badgrin: .

Small Tip: 1 picture of each side of the car and the rear is sufficient.. You even linked 2 of the very same picture in 1 of your replies :confused:
