I fitted slightly whiter headlights to my TS. I have noticed that every now and again the headlight on the left hand side looks 'yellower'. All you have to do is fiddle with the wiring behind the headlight and it fixes itself for another X amount of time.
Are there any permanent fixes for this problem? I'm sure I have seen other magnas with it.

maybe a loose wire or bad connection, or if they are the super white xennon hid wanka globes they have had it.... i have found that those globes can last from 5min to 12 months... poor quality... the magna has a stupid setup though, so i'd just have a look during the day and lube the connections if nothing else appears to be the problem, makes it easier too when it comes time to change globes.... that damn plug on the parras and id assume the std ones too bloody gets stuck on... a lil bit of lube works wonders

u could always cut off the old connections and soilder in some new connections . change ur battery connections , make sure ur car is grounded well. upgrade the factory wire for better wire.

When you say lube, you are talking some sort of electrical lube? (ie not ky)

Those lights can suck abit of power, are you sure you're not burning out the contacts? Have you checked to see if they're burnt?

It's just a higher colour temperature, not wanker HID lights. No burnt wiring. When I notice it (as the lights illuminate the garage door) I pop the bonnet and just move the wiring loom behind the front L headlight. Fixes itself for another day or so.

How many watts are they rated at?

Hold that thought
edit:
55watts,
and you just have to move the wiring a smidgen. I guess I'll just try and squeeze the crimps in the plug with pliers and see if it works.

hmmm 55watts shouldn't be burning it out at all. Could just be a loose wire. Try crimping/re-soldering then try the contact cleaner suggested above.

I had one dull headlight in my Magna, after I replaced the headlight connector as it had melted. The main beam would also switch off when I turned on the high beams. It turns out that one of the main beam fuses had blown (the other was still OK). Fixed fuse, fixed headlight.
