i was just wondering what kind of experiences have you guys had with these cars at over 250kkms? (dads old tn was very low kms so never knew what it was like at higher k's)
i really miss my 3rd gen magna, this cheap 2nd gen might help me overcome the loss lol

check to see if that lilage is actually km's or not... for what u want theyre pretty reliable, things don't seem to go all of a sudden... just have a test drive, pull out a spark plug or too and check out how it drives, make sure u give it a squirt too just to see power is linear...

Well, I'm close at 225,000 and have pretty typical problems (timing chain noise, valve seals and rough idle). These things can be fixed though, but it's up to you whether you think it's worth it. I don't think you'd want to buy a car with timing chain noise though.
In general though they seem to be very strongly built. No issues with rust, interior trim is hard wearing. Nothing has fallen of my car, or broken inside. Electric mirrors still work and the autos trans have a very goor rep. This has been the most reliable and durable car I've ever owned.
The manual is the best way to go. It'll use less fuel and be less complicated in general. Be prepared to usearound 11 litres per 100 kays.

yeah, im prepared for the fuel consumption had 2 magnas 2.6 and 3.0 autos. also as long the things last a bit it should be ok, i personally dont think its worth to fix up a little problems in an $1000 car :) (also expecting it to have problems, rather a question of whether its important) , probably arrange for a test drive soon. :D
