are there any differences between the manual boxes on magna's from tf onwards?

people believe that the internal gears are stronger/thicker but someone had pointed out that upon inspection, that they are the same thickness and he could not spot any differences.

so no actual differences noticed in part no's etc?

not sure.. sorry mate.. thats all i know.

i myself have a 3.0L box from a TF on my 3.5L engine in my TH and its all good!:D

really? i'm pretty sure they are the same mate... i know the Auto's from the te/tf are different from the ones in the TH/TJ but i don't think the manuals are different

There is a diff between a Series 1 VRX and Series 2 VRX and sports Boxes.. Dont know what it is but they have differant part numbers..Something to do with 17inch wheels..

All internals are the same though..:D

The 3.5l have a taller first gear ratio than the 3.0l. Have a look at a TH owners manual (which have the 3.0l and 3.5l gear ratios side by side) and you'll see.

woo.. so there is a difference..

is it noticable though?

probably about 5kph in 1st, and imho the taller the better.
