Well, since ive finished school now, ive been getting really bored, so i thought why not do up me car, knowing i dont have a big budget, the cheapest way to start was to begin with the interior. So i did. :D I got a couple metres squared of some checkered plate stuff (looks really cool) and wacked it on the bottom of the front door cards. Also i added it to the middle section, and painted some panels above that chrome, looks mad. Refering to the last picture, i coulnt seem to get that middle panel off, its such a b|t<h, i was gonna do that chrome aswell. I couldnt find all the screws, i just lost my patience.

hey looks good mate. well done. to get that panel out you have to remove the whole glove compartment setup and there are wingnuts up behind it. undo them and the rest just pops out off clips. also a question, why did you ad lower inserts into the doors(which look great and i think everyone should get them. i think i may have been first but probably wrong) but not recover the original inserts around the handles? it looks really lacking without them. apart from that looks great.

the part that was already there around the door handle like this. you aint got them. the lower part isnt supposed to be there. it is an additional insert.

Actually Magwgn..have a close look at his door trim..there's no holes for the insert's clips to go thru...looks like it might not have had them at all?

you know i was actually thinking that. thats really strange. why is that. what model do you have antone? i see it doesnt have the arm rest lid for the centre either. it would be easy to find some at the wreckers though. just drill some holes. would make it look heaps better.

Mines and exec and it has the inserts in the doors and mudflaps.
Is yours a 4cyl? and is it Carby? if so then it's a GLX.
That could be why if it is...
strange that ours are both 93 execs and you dont have inserts

yeah thats normal. i removed the compartment and had the auto upholsteres add the lower peice. i assume antone did somewhat the same.

no offence, but the lower spec models didnt come with "buckets" in the doors or armrests in the center column, but the wreckers have the solution for that problem!!
btw i have some front door trims WITH the buckets in them for $50 bucks (for both the front one's) pm me if you want them!!
Hey guys, mines the same as bomfunks, 92 TR Exec and i too have no inserts aaround the handles. :( It seems the 92 and the early 93 models didnt have them. from what ive seen anyway. :? Ive been searching around the wrecking yards for sometime but havnt found any as yet.

Yeh, well its plastic, and still looks cool. The thing that sucks about it, is its starting to get heaps of straches on it...maybe i should have gone for the metal cherked plate, but its much more expensive.
