Morning/Afternoon/Evening Guys n Gals,

Hopefully you know what I am talking about when I refer to the "Fuel Tank Cover", if you look under the back bumber where your fuel tank is, I am refering to the thin cover you seen around the fuel tank.

I have always had the problem of the cover vibrating with my subs, it hasn't been that bad to worry about it, but today I washed my car before I went to work and damn it has gotten bad. When I slide under the car and press my hand against it it stops, well mostly stops.

I figure I can remove it and pack it with some material, obviously something heat resistant and that will absorb the sound/limit the movement of the cover.

Any suggestions on what material or even other ideas to tackle the problem would be greatly appreciated. I have been able to tackle small vibrations inside the car before, and I think I know the best way to tackle this problem, just like the others.

This thread is more what material or even other ideas so to the few of you please don't go off and carry on about how simple it is to get rid of rattles/vibrations.

i reckon i got the same problem. when stereo is on low theres a real bad fluttering noise. sounds like its comingfrom the wheel arches...? i dunno. it irritates me when at servo's coz gotta turn music down. and juz like metal fluttering sound. its an off sound. ten i turn it back up and i cant hear it due to the roof rattling and piece of crap giant plastic thing on boot lid. meh. if you find out the acctual cause and a solution. please let me know.
