Looks good, i can't do that because my subs need waaaaaaaaay more air to push than what would be behind those subs. I need to get up off my **** and do something special with my install.
still to be carpetted, still modifying to tune in sound, will be drill hole for air flow when i get some cones

Very nice, very nice. The whole wood and silver theme really works well.
PIMPIN
nice, are they fiberglass enclosures or you running freeair?
if fiberglass, how you gonna go about porting such a thin enclosure? looks like you'd barely be able to fit a pvc port in there, and slotting is practically impossible :\

The Air Cavity will be fine for those Subs, they will tend to Have a High Q Sound but if Enclosed correctly will work fine...
I know this goes against my religion but
I would leave them sealed and not go porting them..
They are not sealed, it is 15mm floor particle board left over from extension. i iwll be porting them, when i carpet them as that will cover the gaps and blend it in with the rest of the interior. by the way all origanal panels are still intact did not drill any extra screw holes, use existing screw holes making brackets to suite

Clean work mate, keep us posted with your progress.
Whenever I buy sub/s, I plan on installing them were you have - mainly to keep usable boot space to a maximum.
I also replaced mansonite spare wheel cover with plywood with a coat of estapol as this will not warp as easy and stop any water stains if it gets wet
Heres a better view of the amp installed, the amp is angled so it will fit between the spare wheel and the rear seat using the spare wheel cover brackets screws as the mounting points

hey pegz.. when ur tail light bulb blows... how do you get it out? i know the second gens you need to screw out the panel on the inside..
1 remove speaker
2 unscrew brackets ( only 4 screws)
3 remove speaker panel
4 remove mitsu paneling as per manual
Fitted perspex panel cover over amp, drilled several holes above amp cooling fan for air. Carpet to come. Have some panel vibration to sort outbehind left speaker ( going to try some foam blocks) :doubt:
