Well what do you do when you get a flat on a 300km old 20" tyre??? replace it... well when you are a poor dude like me the $335-$420 quoted is only about $5000 outta my reach.... so a std puncture repair was the go.... but the bugger had 2 holes in it.... both very tiny.. one was easily repairable, th other was on the shoulder..... NOOOOO that means new tyre!!!! or does it? well they fitted a plug and all seemed ok, but it was leaking slightly.... so i tried a can of the stuff from autobarn, It worked and didnt loose any pressure for a week.... anyway cam across this other product i'd seen years ago... it's a GREEN GOO.... worked a treat!! :D
although id reccomend keeping a can if the emergency tyre stuff in the boot along with the spare... cheap insurance, and was impressed with results (for a temp fix)
*note the tyre will be sent away to be professionaly repaired, even though my tyre guy says now he dosent think it's necessary... will cost me about $30-40..

Ok the real reason i got the flat has nothing to do with being on 20's!!! i have been on lower rubber in my previous car for a long time....
the reason i got the flat was..... see the vic threads.... i was doing donuts offroad!!! ok so yeah.... maybe being lowered and on 20's while doing donuts in the mud and bashing through mud holes wasnt the right thing to be doing but it was FUNNN  till after work, when i noticed the tyre was flat... lol
as long as it was done whilst having fun.. i think thats honorable ;)
are you on 30 or 35 profile?
i had 30 profile once and couldnt tell the morning when i woke up and it was flat lol .
PS: where are the donut vids? :)

I had a can of this in my boot and now will not touch the stuff. Got a puncture, late at night, middle of nowhere and pumped this crap into my tyre. Puncture was sealed up nicely and got me home. The next day I took my tyre in to be repaired properly. Tyre guy took the tyre off, told me that I had used aforementioned puncture repair product, told me he wasnt touching my tyre, put it back on and sent me on my way. 3 other tyre repair shops refused to touch it because I had used that stuff.

why how does the tyre stuff stop them doing it?
why how does the tyre stuff stop them doing it?
along with dodgy repaired tyres, and tyres generally, i know a lot of places will not fit rubber unless they supply it themselves. Ive been turned away before. Brigestone gave the reason of if something bad should happen and you should.. for example die and/or kill other people with a dodgy tyre, then they may be held accountable.
I.e. If the repair process on the tyre damages the integrity of the tyre then when it does become a problem again they may be blamed.
While a puncture repair kit may go ok, it will most likley be easier for it to repuncture/repair material fail again.. not many respectable places will take on that increased risk.

i wonder why.... where i go, they have no problem doing that, it may be that it's just more of a hassle for too little $$ and they'd rather sell you new rubber... glad to hear the carp in the can worked for you though, as the can says emergency use only.... sounds like its saved both of us...

Thats stuff suxs.. your tyre fitter will hate you if you use it.. It smells real bad and makes the worst mess when you change the tyre..
